Tracheitis Definition

Tracheitis is an acute or chronic inflammation of the lining of the trachea.

Inflammation of the lining of the trachea can be caused by infection (viral or bacterial) or irritant (smoke, inhalation of toxic fumes such as chlorine).

Most often tracheitis is in the context of infection associated ENT: nasopharyngitis, laryngitis or bronchitis.

It is a disease of the spring or autumn is spreading epidemics and heals spontaneously within a few days.

Tracheitis Symptoms

Tracheitis is manifested by dry hacking cough sometimes annoying because of chest pain associated.
